Si Fei Kei (是非棋) is an upgraded version of classic Chinese Carrom with its rules simplified and the board revamped from its original form. The pawns on each opposite sides are engraved with two different chinese works, 是 (yes) and 非(no). Each game is meant for settling argument or for making decisions. By eliminating each other's pieces through a series of strike and pocket action, the pieces that left on the board shows the winner as well as the answer to each debates (dispute).
Si Fei Kei (是非棋) is one of the three parts in "The Confrontation Trilogy" created for TheOtherAcademy project curated by Prof. Dr. Michael Erlhoff.
Fun Chinese:
是非 = Right and Wrong, gossip, dispute etc.
似是而非 = specious
擺弄是非 = To spread tales
是非不分 = Fail to distinguish right from wrong
